About GIFT

Greasby Individual and Family Therapy opened its doors after seeing a rise in need for mental health services. GIFT was created to provide tele-therapy services for California residents, and in-person sessions to those in the Orange County area. What sets GIFT apart is our desire to walk along side others in their journey and help them to create the life they desire by obtaining new insight, healing from past trauma and wounds, and feeling equipped with learning how to handle life stressors.

Supporting College-Aged Students

If you are a college student who is struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, or are just generally feeling like you are lost in your journey and need support, please reach out, you don’t have to figure this out all on your own. I love working with college students in the following ways:

  • Improving overall well-being

  • Working through anxiety and depressive symptoms

  • Overcoming social fears or issues

  • Support with difficulties in various relationships

  • Working through past traumas to heal

  • Working through grief and loss

  • Adjusting to changes that come with starting college, moving out, and figuring out future endeavors

  • Struggling with isolation, fears, overwhelming thoughts, managing intense feelings and emotions, and coping better with distress

My college-aged clients have shared in their experience working with me that they begin to feel more confident in themselves, they feel understood, supported, seen by me, learn skills that improve all areas of their life, feel heard, heal from past hurts, and manage their overwhelming negative thoughts better.

Supporting Moms

Are you a mom who is juggling a million tasks and feeling overwhelmed, or are you a new mom dealing with postpartum anxiety or depression? If so, I would love to help. As a mom I understand that the struggle is very real. Do you find yourself:

  • Feeling anxious

  • Overwhelmed

  • The mental to-do list never stops

  • Balancing kids and marriage

  • Not having time for self care

  • Exhausted and depleted

  • Fear overwhelming you

If so, I understand, I’ve been there too. As a therapist, my “mom” clients often share that in our work they begin to feel relief, validated and seen, learn skills to manage daily stressors and have a better grip on dealing with difficulties, learn tools to communicate better, and learn to prioritize themselves as well as their family.

Supporting Kids & Adolescents

Are you a between the ages of 5-15, or is there someone between those ages that you love who is struggling with:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Feeling overwhelmed at school

  • Loneliness

  • Bullying

  • Stress

  • Difficulties with peers

  • Difficulties with siblings

  • Thoughts or behaviors of self-harm

I would love to support you! My adolescent clients share that in working with me they notice that within a few sessions they begin to feel the weight off their shoulders, feel more like themselves, handle stressful situations better, and learn better ways of dealing with overwhelming thoughts.

"You were pretty much the reason I could get through this transition in my life and help me realize things within that I wouldn't have been able to do on my own."

-D

"It was very easy to talk with you. I feel understood and enjoy our sessions. I like Katie a lot and we have a plan going forward so we will be doing more sessions. I thought I only needed 3 or 4 sessions, but I think I might want to do more with her."

-S

"It usually takes me a while to figure out and see how the fit is, but she was really good. She is a really nice person and I felt we connected well. She gave me tools to practice in between sessions."
